چکیده
Abstract Background Recent basic studies demonstrate that the lung is a primary organ of platelet biogenesis. However, whether pathophysiological state affect platelets little known. We aim to investigate incidence thrombocytopenia in patients with pulmonary infection (PIN) and risk factors associated thrombocytopenia. Methods In total, 11,941 were enrolled, other three infectious diseases collected as controls. The was compared, PIN investigated by multivariate analysis. To explore mechanism thrombocytopenia, hypoxic model constructed. Blood counts from angular vein (PLTs), left ventricle (PLT post ) right pre determined. Megakaryocytes identified anti-CD41 antibody detected through flow cytometry immunofluorescence. Results higher than (9.8% vs. 6.4% ~ 5.0%, P < 0.001). Low arterial oxygen partial pressure (PaO 2 an important factor for (OR = 0.88; mouse model, PLTs decreased (518.38 ± 127.92 vs 840.75 77.30, 0.05), which showed low PaO induced difference between PLT (∆PLT post-pre ), representing production lungs, significantly attenuated mice when compared normoxic (F 25.47, 0.05). Additionally, proportions CD41-positive megakaryocytes marrow, spleen all mice. Conclusion There high patients. -induced impaired generation lungs.

Evaluation of Partial Pressure of Arterial Oxygen in Obese Patients in Supine Position during General Anesthesia
Background: Anesthetists should measure the concentration of supplemental oxygen to determine whether patients’ partial pressure of arterial oxygen (PaO2) is correct during general anesthesia. However, the standard PaO2 value in obese patients in the supine position is unknown. We evaluated the PaO2 with respect to the Broca-Katsura obesity index. Materials and Methods: From January 2001 to Dec...
متن کاملRelationship of Oxygen Saturation Percentage (SaO2) and Arterial Oxygen Pressure (PaO2) with the Outcome of Covid-19 Patients Hospitalized in intensive care Units
Background and Objective: In order to determine the Hypoxemia and prognosis of patients with covid-19 hospitalized in the intensive care unit, reliable oxygen supply indicators are needed. In this situation, the examination of the percentage of arterial oxygen saturation (SaO2) and arterial oxygen pressure (PaO2), as well as their relationship, may be helpful. Materials and Methods: This des...
متن کاملCause of Low Arterial Oxygen Saturation in Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Since the description of 'alveolar-capillary block' by Austrian, McClement, Renzetti, Donald, Riley, and Cournand (1951), impairment of diffusion across the alveolar-capillary membrane has been regarded as an important factor in the production of low arterial oxygen saturations in patients with diffuse pulmonary disease. However, Luchsinger, Moser, Buhlmann, and Rossier (1957) suggested that re...
متن کاملAssociation between administered oxygen, arterial partial oxygen pressure and mortality in mechanically ventilated intensive care unit patients
INTRODUCTION The aim of this study was to investigate whether in-hospital mortality was associated with the administered fraction of oxygen in inspired air (FiO2) and achieved arterial partial pressure of oxygen (PaO2). METHODS This was a retrospective, observational study on data from the first 24 h after admission from 36,307 consecutive patients admitted to 50 Dutch intensive care units (I...
متن کاملGenistein Induces a Protective Immunomodulatory Effect in a Mouse Model of Cervical Cancer
Background: Genistein (GEN), a naturally occurring flavonoid present in soy bean, has attracted scientific interest for its possible benefits in cancer. Objective: The potential immunomodulatory effects of genistein on the immune system and against TC-1 tumor cell line were evaluated in adult female C57BL/6 mice. Methods: Mice were treated with GEN 10 days before to 10 days after the tumor indu...
